About the initiative
A movement, not just a campaign
Rett syndrome is complex and life-altering, but it does not define the incredible individuals living with it. Behind every diagnosis is a person with their own personality, voice, sense of humour, strengths, challenges, and dreams.
Created by Canadian parents and leaders in the Rett community, pRETTy awesome. was built on the belief that when families, caregivers, advocates, healthcare professionals, educators, and allies come together, meaningful change happens.
This year, we’re calling on communities across BC to help spark conversations, share stories, wear their support proudly, and drive greater understanding of Rett syndrome. Awareness creates visibility. Visibility drives action — and action helps fuel advocacy, support, research, and progress for families affected by Rett.
The campaign is available in both English and French again this year, helping us reach more families and grow a more united Rett community across the country.#pRETTyAwesome #RettSyndrome
